The Choolers Division (BE)

The Choolers Division is a unique hip hop project, the result of an unprecedented collaboration between MCs with Down syndrome and independent musicians. Born from the initiative of the artistic laboratory La « S » Grand Atelier(B), this artistic (and not social!) project emerged in the spring of 2013 and quickly gained the interest of programmers, captivated by the sincerity and effectiveness of the encounter.

The Choolers Division delivers an electro-infused, twisted, non-linear, and incandescent brand of hip hop! The enigmatic lyrics of Kostia Botkine and Philippe Marien alternate between astonishing calm and electrifying roars. It sends chills down your spine one moment and then slaps you with an explosive adrenaline rush the next.
Behind machines, Fisherprice turntables and other repurposed objects, Antoine Boulangé and Jean-Camille Charles take us on a journey from an American ghetto to the dance floor of a London club, a trip full of twists and turns, guided by their feeling.
