Suit Side vs Veda Plight (BE)

Suit Side vs Veda Plight was formed in 2004 by the merging of 2 solo projects; they recorded several demos at home and did some concerts and tours mainly in Belgium and France.

Initially a guitar-bass duo with a drum machine, they were briefly joined by two female singers around 2005, before reverting to a duo. Their lyrics, in both English and French, are angry and politically charged, addressing various current issues. The band's lineup might remind some of Béruriers Noirs, but their music is more aggressive, faster, and closer to English-language hardcore and anarcho-punk. They released a demo CD in 2005 and another in 2007 (recorded by Ratus).

In 2011 they toured Brazil and met Zorel (Ex- Execradores, Diskontroll, Peligro, Contraste Bizarro...) who joined them on drums and toured Europe with them in 2014. In 2015 they returned to Brazil for another 9-date tour with him on drums.

In July 2016 they entered the studio to finally record their first real LP "Anarchive" which was finally released in May 2018 largely self-produced but also with the help of the labels La Société Pue Prod, Rockerill Records, Aredje.

At the end of 2016, a new drummer joined them, Gerald (formerly of Prince Harry), to replace Zorel, who only played intermittently and lived in Brazil. Since then, tours have been organized, with the next one planned for June 2018 in Belgium, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, and Austria. A tour in Brazil in January 2019 is currently being planned.
