Deadline (BE)

Snakes of cables, lo-fi microphones and fetishized guitars, Deadline's influences blend and intertwine just like their metallic gear.
Formed in 2013 in the Black Country (aka Charleroi, Belgium), the trio initially honed their skills on saturated punk riffs before being influenced by Robert Johnson. Now dedicated to music obsessed with his heritage, the three musicians will tell you: they know they are haunted by the ghosts of roots blues that keep reappearing.
While allowing the blues to permeate their sound, Deadline does not lose its hard core, imbued with tungsten and diesel, resolutely gasoline rock.
No less schizophrenic, the two antagonistic singers Quiet Ben and Simon Wray take turns switching instruments on stage; guitar, bass, harmonica, in an electric duel and on the masterful drumming of Simon Blue King.
Since its formation, the group has been able to unleash its rock'n'roll in venues such as the Rockerill, the Eden, the Magasin 4, the Atelier 210, the Nuit du Blues, and the Humo's Rock Rally.
Their second EP, Those Who Inhabit This Land, was released in November 2018.
