JOSY & THE PONY - Eponyme

After several singles, a debut LP released in 2017, and nearly 150 concerts across Europe, Josy & her ponies are back with a new album, "Eponyme," to be released on October 5, 2019, by Rockerill Records and Freaksvil-le. As always, Josy pays little heed to public opinion and continues on her own path, far removed from the prevailing commercial trends.
"Eponyme" is a condensed 60s yé-yé inspiration, 100% French-speaking and female, flirting with the shoegaze revival and punk reminiscences. Josy addresses in a unique way the tragic themes of harassment ("Ânon Petit Con"), religious fundamentalism ("Secte équestre"), political radicalism ("Deux Chevaux Mustang"), the condition of women ("Indécent Pur-Sang") and unattainable dreams ("La Crinière")... But not like everyone else, of course.
